His Enchantment was a lovely historical romance I really enjoyed reading this fantastic book Loved it For those who have read previous books in the MacGruder Brothers series, this book is like a prequel We ve been hearing about the mysterious grandmother and her faerie magic and her stones that lead her grandchildren to their true loves Now, we find out where that all came from We find out that she was actually a faerie princess Full of sweet romance, faerie magic, and surprising betrayals, His Enchantment was a lovely historical romance I really enjoyed reading this fantastic book Loved it For those who have read previous books in the MacGruder Brothers series, this book is like a prequel We ve been hearing about the mysterious grandmother and her faerie magic and her stones that lead her grandchildren to their true loves Now, we find out where that all came from We find out that she was actually a faerie princess who fell in love with a human man We find out exactly what happened to cause the feud between the brothers We find out where the stones come from For those who have read the series, it s pretty awesome But, even if you haven t read the series, this book is still just wonderful Catarine was a great heroine Since she is a faerie princess, she know how to fight, which made her a force to be reckoned with Not to mention she was very clever I really liked her I thought she was a wonderful character.Tralin was also amazing He was super sweet He s very loyal to what he believes in and to his loved ones He might have been a human in a faerie battle, but don t underestimate him He definitely proved himself as a hero I adored him He was sweet, strong, devoted, and just wonderful. The romance was lovely These two were very sweet together I liked how their feelings slowly grew And, the sparks between them were hot It wasn t the focus of their relationship, the focus beingon their growing feelings, but, when it happened, it was steamy I thought they were a lovely couple. The plot was fast paced I was hooked the entire way through I never suspected the full extent of who was being the assassinations I really enjoyed the story and I thought the ending was perfect His Enchantment was a lovely historical romance I really enjoyed reading it For those who have read the series, you will love this look into the infamous grandmother s story For those who haven t yet started the series, this is a fantastic romance all the same Any lover of romance definitely has to check this book out I received a free copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review I loved the first 5 books of this series This one not as much A little out there for me. fairy princess from the Otherworld She and her fey warriors used the stone circle to step into Scotland looking for the English knights who had killed her uncle, Prince Johan English knights should not have been able to travel through the stone circle to get to the Otherworld How had they gotten through They tried to follow them, but there was no trace It was as if they just disappeared. While searching they stumbled upon the abduction of Scotland s Kind Alexander III and his queen As fey they didn t involve themselves with the human world In fact it was forbidden They hid and watched as the king and queen were taken away The king s guards fought valiantly, but were overmatched Catarine had an urgent urge to go help one of the men valiantly fighting for his king and queen As she stood up with her dagger, her guard pulled her back down After the battle and as they were leaving, she heard a moan from the man that she had the urge to help Lord Tr lin MacGruder, Lord Grey.Excerpt Sionn moved to her side Catarine, what are you doing I must help him At her voice, the rust haired Scot s head snapped toward her.The impact of his green eyes held hers, pinned her as if a sword to flesh Sensation roared through her Who are you Lord Grey s deep burr demanded.Sword raised, Atair ran back and moved beside her as the other fey warriors formed a protective circle Dinna answer Catarine shook her head He is nae a threat You know naught of him, Sionn warned, his voice rich with suspicion.Atair nodded to the daunting man Who are you The Scott straightened Tralin MacGruder, earl of Grey, Personal guard to King Alexander, he replied, his each breath rattling with agony His body began to waver Who be On a muttered curse, he collapsed Nay She broke through her guard s protective circle and rushed toward Lord Grey Catarine Atair called.Panic slid through her as she faced her senior fey warrior I I must help him Catarine helps him with his injuries and Lord Grey and the fey decide to join forces First to go after the king and queen and to take them to safety and secondly for Lord Grey to help the fey find the English knights who have killed Catarine s uncle. Both Catarine and Tralin are drawn to each other Catarine should not have these feelings since she is fey and she is betrothed to another in her world Tralin cannot help being attracted and fights his feelings for her She is a fey and royalty Can or should they fight their destiny My Thoughts I was enchanted The attraction between Catarine and Tralin was palpable Diana Cosby has taken me to Scotland with her lovely Scottish burr dialog I love the kind of conflict that each character is dealing with The reader feels the angst of Catarine and Tralin who both want something never thought possible so badly yet because of honor or what is expected by their culture and tradition, they dare not reach for it I m sorry to say that I missed all her previous books, but I hope to mend that situation very soon Thank you Diana for taking me to medieval Scotland and a world of fey His Enchantment by Diana Crosby is a historical romance with a fantasy twist Lady Catarine MacLaren is a fairy princess, but the MacGruder Brothers, none of which I remember reading, but it is apperentlylike a prequel to the series So, if you have not read any thus far, do not worry that you will be missing anything Now, I liked that Catarine is a strong woman, a warrior and full of honor and loyalty I also liked that Tr lin shared similar traits, and dispite his desire to protect her still generally respects her and her abilities once he gets his head around her skills The story and the characters were all reasonably well written, and I did enjoy seeing Catarine show of her warrior prowess on occasion I liked that each character had thier own inner conflict, which they were open about, as well as the largerlife threatening conflicts I really liked that the characters actually talked to each other about thier issues, rather than just thinking about them through the whole book which is one of my biggest pet peeves in romance.I would recommend His Enchantment to readers that have read and enjoyed the other books in the series I think readers that are fond of books that overlap Fae and historical storylines will enjoy the book I felt like parts of the book were a little rush while other bits dragged, but overall I was satisfied with the read His Enchantment is apparently the prequel to a series of popular books by the author I never read anything by Cosby before, but it is not necessary to read the others to understand this one In fact, it was well after I finished the book before I discovered there were any Quite possibly it was when I was putting my rating into Goodreads His Enchantment is one of the many romance novels out there that centers around a man in a kilt Sure, some of the seem to do better than others, but this His Enchantment is apparently the prequel to a of the seem to do better than others, but this is a trend that has been going on for a long time and it doesn t appear to be going away anytime soon Is it the accents Is it actually the kilts This is a popular trend that I can t get behind as fully as other people seem to Scottish, Australian, Italian, American, when it comes to romance novels, they all seem the same to me.In this particular rendition, the heroine is a fairy who s trying to figure out who attacked her people when she stumbles upon the human who will obviously be the love of her life Because fae and human are not supposed to mix The human, on the other hand, is looking for his missing liege and wants the fae to help The two fall madly in lust with each other, but there are so many hindrances to their love Her honor guard His sense of duty Her arranged marriage to anther fae Most of the time, the plot got discarded in favor of the heroes angsting about their love for each other and how it can never be realized This is a romance novel We all know how this is going to end.My biggest gripe with the book was how the author dealt with the fiancee He shows up at the end for two paragraphs only to be promptly disintegrated by the big bad Literally File this under lazy ways to resolve a nonexistent love triangle His Enchantment isn t a bad book But it s not going to be on the list of the best books I read during the year either Well, let me tell you, that when I first requested this book to read, the synopsis characters were completely different than what the book was really about It has since changed, so no one else will have to suffer the way I did I was waiting for the min characters to appear I just got confused ESPECIALLY when the Fae were moving in on a group of soldiers Hmm The book itself have never requested it had I known I just don t like them everyone has them the same Magic from a realm of good bad Better than humans etc., unless they fall in love, then the human is ok They do make exceptions Soooo truly, this book was a trade off The Fae help rescue the Scottish King Queen then the king gives the Fae knights to track down the magic murderer who has escaped That person is a mysteryThis book was written well, and it s only my own prejudice against the Fae, that I didn t love it I recommend it to anyone who likes the cross between historical paranormal It really was a good book worth the read.Unfortunately, since my wifi was totally messed up for a week, I could not write a fresh review bespecific in my quirps what I loved She Could Never Live In His World Lady Catarine MacLaren is a fairy princess, duty bound to eschew the human world But the line between the two realms is beginning to blur English knights have launched an assault on the MacLarens, just as the families of Comyn have captured the Scottish king and queen Now, Catarine is torn between loyalty to her people and helping the handsome, rust haired Lord Tr lin rescue the Scottish king But He Couldn enigmatic Princess Catarine As they plot to rescue the kidnapped king and queen, Tr lin and Catarine will discover a love made all but impossible by her obligations to the Otherworld But a passion or if you like stories that contain a touch of magic another thing I like about this story is that while Catarine is fey and does some magic the book is not completely inundated with magic This review
